About

artwelcome

Welcome to the art section of wilderfaith.com. Obviously, this is where I will be posting artwork I’ve created. Most of said artwork will revolve around the two Young Adult series I write, Finding Faith and Wilder Side. If you are unfamiliar with either of my series, then my art probably won’t mean as much to you. If you would like to familiarize yourself with my work, feel free to visit the Finding Faith and Wilder Side sections of my site (check the “My Sites” section in the sidebar).

If you are familiar with my work, I feel I must say that my art may contain spoilers pertaining to events in the series, and you are viewing at your own risk. However, I will try to remember to post all artwork behind a cut.

I hope you will find it easy to navigate the site via several options in the sidebar, and if you’d like to leave comments you must register for an account. Don’t worry, it’s free.

arthistory

The art I’ve posted here dates as far back as 2002, which was around the time I started creating art to go with my stories. I began with photo manipulation, dabbled in vector and pixel art, and eventually discovered 3D art. I had an old computer with a fat VGA monitor up until the end of 2008, at which time I bought a new computer with an LCD flat screen monitor. I was sickened to find out that my images looked washed out and really just awful on the new monitor. I have since corrected the brightness/contrast/colors of all images posted to this site, but other than that the images have not been altered from their original state. Obviously this site has not been around since 2002; I just decided to back date each entry to reflect the original date of each image.

artmechanics

I created my older 3D art using a combination of the programs Poser 5 and DAZ Studio, along with fine products from DAZ3D (namely Victoria 3 and Michael 3), Renderosity, and other 3D stores online. More recently I’ve been using Studio exclusively, and upgraded to Victoria 4 and Michael 4 (two 3D figures which I cannot praise enough). Postwork is done in Photoshop. All non-3D work is done in Photoshop, except for most of the vector images, which were done in Illustrator.

artnote

I should mention that I am by no stretch of the imagination a professional artist, nor do I care to be. I just do this stuff because I want to, and because it’s a fun creative outlet that I really don’t want to turn into a huge pile of work. Writing does that for me just fine, thank you.

My artwork is free for you to look at. All I ask in return is that you don’t pass my work around the internet and/or claim any of it to be your own.
